Initially released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and remastered in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this new version is expected to also launch on PlayStation 5. While details are scarce, a notable difference is the genre description. Previous versions were categorized as "third-person shooter," while the new listing describes it as "survival horror." Further details are anticipated in an official announcement.

Beyond this remaster, fans eagerly await news of Resident Evil 9, rumored to be set four years after the events of Resident Evil Village.
