Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just rolled out an exciting Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, fans can now dive back into the world of Bullworth Academy with fresh enhancements.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

The Bully: Anniversary Edition update introduces new languages and zeroes in on stability improvements and bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to ensure smoother gameplay.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update enables Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing visual depth. Both Android and iOS users will notice the updated app icon and the addition of haptic feedback, making the experience more immersive.

Several mission-specific bugs have been ironed out. Issues such as the inability to pick Mandy’s locker in ‘That Bitch’, progression halts in ‘Weed Killer’ due to early window breaking, and police cars falling through the floor during ‘The Rumble’ are now fixed. Additionally, the update addresses instances where enemies wouldn’t attack Jimmy, ensuring more balanced combat. Crashes when starting a new game or loading saves from the pause menu have also been resolved.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The fanbase has been vocal about their desire for Bully 2, but Rockstar's focus seems to be elsewhere. Although a sequel was reportedly in development during the 2010s, it was shelved to prioritize Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem dim, especially with many original developers having moved on from Rockstar. While this update isn't a full remaster or a sequel, it’s a welcome upgrade for mobile players.

If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old rebel navigating the trials and tribulations of Bullworth Academy. The game is packed with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world mischief.

So, head over to the Google Play Store and grab Bully: Anniversary Edition for €7.99. It comes with full gamepad support, making it even more enjoyable.
