A recent leak suggests Wriothesley's highly anticipated return in Genshin Impact Version 5.4, over a year after his initial release. This news comes as no surprise given the game's ongoing challenge in balancing character reruns with its ever-expanding roster of over 90 playable characters. The limited number of rerun slots creates significant delays for many deserving characters.

The game's Chronicled Banner, intended to alleviate this issue, has proven insufficient. Shenhe's lengthy wait time, exceeding 600 days before her rerun, exemplifies this. Until the introduction of triple banners, extended waiting periods between character reruns seem inevitable.

Wriothesley, a Cryo Catalyst introduced in Version 4.1, is a prime example of this scheduling problem. His unique playstyle and powerful Burnmelt team compositions make him highly sought after, yet players haven't had a chance to obtain him since November 8, 2023.
