Rust Mobile gears up for a seven-day alpha test next month

by Blake Mar 15,2025

Rust Mobile’s closed alpha test is launching this February! This confidential test, accessible via the official Rust Discord, will offer a sneak peek at the highly anticipated mobile port. Sign-ups are open now, but remember: save data won't transfer, and in-app purchases will be unavailable. Furthermore, Facepunch has confirmed this will be a private test with an NDA required for participation, limiting public footage and screenshots.

Many players, myself included, are curious about the monetization strategy for Rust Mobile. Successful examples like Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition demonstrate how in-app purchases can enhance free content without disrupting gameplay.

This mobile release is a significant event, bringing a PC survival giant to mobile platforms. Expect considerable interest from players eager to experience the progression from primitive tools to advanced weaponry.
