Rust Mobile is poised to launch its closed beta next month.
Sign-ups are now open, featuring an even larger world map for exploration.
New game modes and additional content will be introduced during this closed beta.
Few titles in the history of multiplayer gaming have left as significant a mark or defined their genre quite like Rust. Consequently, its mobile debut is highly anticipated, offering players a chance to experience it early as Rust Mobile enters its first closed beta this December!
The initial closed beta runs from December 11th through 13th, with pre-downloads starting on December 9th. Although originally scheduled for November, the delay was expected given the scope and volume of content in Rust.
For those unfamiliar, Rust places you on a remote island equipped only with your clothing. You can choose to survive solo or collaborate with others to gather resources and build bases, progressing from primitive bows and arrows to advanced automatic rifles. Registration for the beta is available via the official Rust Mobile website!

Experiencing Rust
The first closed beta showcases a world map expanded by 30% compared to its initial reveal, along with fresh gameplay modes. Hardcore mode delivers the classic Rust experience fans know and love, while Standard offers a more streamlined approach featuring Scripted mode alongside PvP and PvE survival options.
Softcore mode is also available, providing perks such as raid protection and reduced death penalties—a fitting choice for dedicated Rust enthusiasts. Additionally, Territory Clash introduces a fast-paced 15-minute, 4v6 PvP mode focused on pure offense versus defense dynamics.
Even with the full release of Rust still pending, there is an abundance of excellent mobile games available right now. Not convinced? Review our latest roundup of the top five new mobile games to try this week for our curated recommendations!
