Scott Pilgrim EX Revives Classic Arcade Brawlers

Following Ubisoft's 2021 relaunch of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, the team behind TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is developing an entirely new Scott Pilgrim title. Called Scott Pilgrim EX, the game will launch on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch in early 2026.

Scott Pilgrim EX offers a fresh adventure co-created with original comic author Bryan Lee O'Malley. The four-player cooperative beat 'em up features nostalgic pixel art alongside an original storyline. Players can choose between Scott, Ramona, and five other characters as they battle through a stylized version of Toronto against demons, robots, and other foes.

True to franchise tradition, Scott Pilgrim EX will feature a brand-new soundtrack by chiptune band Anamanaguchi, with pixel art contributions from Paul Robertson. The project also benefits from creative input by BenDavid Grabinski, director of Netflix's Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime.

This represents the second original Scott Pilgrim game following Ubisoft's 2010 release (excluding the 2021 remaster). Tribute Games, a Montreal studio founded by ex-Ubisoft developers, includes several team members who worked on the original title.
