The Last of Us Season 2 Release Date Confirmed

HBO's highly anticipated The Last of Us Season 2 premieres this April! Get ready for the return of Joel and Ellie on Sunday, April 13th at 9pm ET/PT, streaming simultaneously on Max. This season, spanning seven episodes, promises a thrilling continuation of their journey.

Picking up five years after the events of Season 1, we find Joel and Ellie settled in Montana with Joel's brother, Tommy. This season adapts the narrative of The Last of Us Part II, so familiarity with the game's story is recommended for a richer viewing experience.

Returning alongside Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie are several new cast members: Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Merle Dandridge as Marlene (note: Young Mazine is not listed in official cast announcements), Lamar Johnson as Frank, and Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen. Tati Gabrielle joins the cast as Nora, and will also star in Naughty Dog's upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
