STALKER 2 Roadmap Reveals Improved Modding, A-Life Updates, and More

GSC Gameworld has outlined two major focuses for the upcoming updates: the Beta Mod SDK Kit and enhancements to the A-Life system. The Mod SDK Kit will be tested in a closed beta with mod makers before its official release, aiming to integrate platforms like Mod.io and Steam Workshop for a seamless modding experience.

The A-Life system, crucial for the game's immersive NPC AI and simulation, will see further improvements. Building on the 110 GB Christmas patch from late last year, the developers are set to introduce "persistent A-Life improvements" and refine combat mechanics with "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."

Players will also benefit from the option to skip shader compilation, an increased player stash window, wide screen aspect ratio support, and the addition of two new weapons. The focus on stabilization, optimization, and "anomalies" fixing will ensure a smoother gameplay experience.
