Bloober Team's chilling sci-fi horror title, Cronos: The New Dawn, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 5, 2025.
The developer announced the release date during today's July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, confirming its arrival for early September. The presentation also confirmed the game is coming to Switch 2 alongside PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Bloober shared a new trailer demonstrating Cronos: The New Dawn's performance on Switch 2, showcasing the horrors The Traveler will face while journeying across time. In addition to glimpses of enemies, time-bending mechanics, and an upgrade system, the footage offers a fresh look at gameplay following the studio's recent work on the Silent Hill 2 remake.
"In the future, lethal creatures spawned from humanity's remnants stalk the wastes," a description from the Nintendo Direct explained. "You must craft ammunition and gear from scarce resources to survive brutal encounters. However, never drop your guard after a victory—if a monster consumes a fallen foe, it will mutate into an even more terrifying form."
Our recent hands-on session with Cronos: The New Dawn left us eager to explore more of Bloober's Dead Space-inspired universe. In our preview, we noted, "Bloober Team appears to have selected the finest elements of the genre and forged a distinct survival horror experience of its own."
