Star Wars Tactics Game Revealed at 2025 Event

EA's upcoming Star Wars turn-based tactics game will debut at Star Wars Celebration 2025.

Originally announced in early 2022, this untitled strategy title comes from Bit Reactor - a studio formed by XCOM franchise veterans. Collaborating with Respawn Entertainment (creators of Star Wars Jedi), the developers are now preparing to reveal their highly anticipated project.

Mark your calendars for April 19 when Bit Reactor leads will join Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games for a special presentation, as listed on the Star Wars Celebration 2025 official schedule.

Details about the game remain scarce, with no information about its Star Wars era setting or specific gameplay mechanics. However, given the developers' XCOM pedigree, fans can likely expect deep tactical gameplay infused with Star Wars lore.

While Respawn continues development on the third Star Wars Jedi installment, no appearance is expected at this year's Celebration. The studio previously canceled an untitled Mandalorian-based FPS as part of EA's restructuring that resulted in 670 job cuts. More recently in March, Respawn quietly discontinued a multiplayer FPS prototype project along with associated staff reductions.

Star Wars Celebration will also showcase footage from The Mandalorian & Grogu movie (slated for May 2026) and provide the first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
