Stellar Mercenaries has just launched its thrilling Jupiter Expansion, significantly expanding the game's universe. This update nearly doubles the content, introducing new worlds, enemies, and a plethora of missions to explore.
If you're new to the game, Stellar Mercenaries is an engaging vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter. You'll navigate procedurally generated missions, customize your ships and weapons, and strive to become the most feared mercenary in the solar system.
What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?
The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons into dynamic battlegrounds. Each location offers unique challenges: Ganymede, a barren wasteland; Io, covered in volcanic debris; Europa, frozen and treacherous; and Jupiter itself, rife with storms.
Two new factions enter the fray: the Jovian Empire, a formidable military force aiming to dominate the region, and the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws.
The expansion adds 50 new missions with varied objectives, including hyperspace hunting, piracy, escort missions, and train defense missions.
Six new ships join the fleet: Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Additionally, new weapons like the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam are now available.
There Are New Hazards, Shields, and More
The update introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, enhancing your defensive capabilities. New hazards to navigate include asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier. Some enemy mercenaries have been upgraded, with new classes like Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk.
The expansion also enriches the game with 14 new music tracks and a new side missions system. Dive into the expanded universe of Stellar Mercenaries by checking it out on the Google Play Store.
