Subway Surfers is turning 13 this month, and SYBO has planned a spectacular celebration for players worldwide. Starting on May 12th, you'll embark on a globe-trotting marathon in honor of Subway Surfers' 13th Anniversary. The festivities kick off with a return to the game's birthplace, Copenhagen, where new content awaits in the Danish capital.
The Game Is Heading Back to Where It All Began!
The 13th Anniversary update introduces a unique daily city-hopping challenge, allowing you to run through not only Copenhagen but also unlock up to 21 other iconic cities such as Paris, Rio, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. To explore these destinations, you'll need to collect World Tour suitcase tokens at each location to unlock the next city. This update marks the 200th destination in Subway Surfers' World Tour series, which began its global rotation back in 2013. Currently, the game is celebrating Golden Week in Osaka, featuring neon lights, traditional elements, and exclusive content. New characters Saru and Oni Hime are available; Saru can be unlocked via the Season Challenge, while Oni Hime is offered in a special deal. Additionally, new social features such as Player Names and Friend Lists are being introduced. Check out the excitement in the official trailer:
