System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition Renamed System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, Also Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nightdive Studios' revamped version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG, originally titled System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, will now launch as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. This updated edition is expanding its reach to include the Nintendo Switch.

The System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will soon be available on Windows PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The official synopsis reads:

The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the Von Braun starship, you find yourself with amnesia, amidst a catastrophic event. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots stalk the ship's corridors, their chilling cries echoing through the vessel. SHODAN, a malevolent AI hellbent on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. Your mission: stop her. Explore the decaying Von Braun, immersing yourself in a richly detailed narrative and environment. Uncover the horrifying fate of the Von Braun and its crew, deck by deck.

Nightdive Studios has confirmed a release date and new trailer reveal will take place during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
