Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Join Call of Duty

Activision has announced a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

While details on the collaboration's content and launch date (simply stated as "soon") remain scarce, the CODWarfareForum has leaked some unconfirmed information. This purported crossover will feature operator skins for all four Turtles. Unfortunately, the absence of April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder is a point of disappointment for some fans. New melee weapons—a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and staff—are also rumored. The Grind map, a skatepark, will reportedly serve as the main location for crossover events.

However, fan reaction has been muted, not due to a lack of interest in the TMNT franchise, but rather due to the current state of Black Ops 6. The game is struggling with numerous bugs and a significant cheater problem, resulting in a dwindling player base. This collaboration feels ill-timed, arriving amidst a period of considerable in-game turmoil, leaving many questioning its impact and longevity.
