Tencent's Polaris Quest Unveils Ambitious Open-World RPG, Light of Motiram, for Mobile

Get ready for a massive announcement! Not only has Project Mugen revealed its official title, but Tencent's Polaris Quest is bringing its highly anticipated open-world RPG, Light of Motiram, to mobile devices.

Initially revealed on Chinese social media (via Gematsu), Light of Motiram will launch on Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation 5, and apparently mobile. Given the game's impressive visuals and extensive features, this mobile release is undeniably ambitious.

What exactly is Light of Motiram? It's a genre-bending experience. Think open-world RPG (like Genshin Impact), but with base-building (reminiscent of Rust), customizable giant mechanical creatures (echoes of Horizon Zero Dawn), and even creature collection elements (a touch of Palworld). It's a veritable smorgasbord of gameplay mechanics!

This ambitious approach might address concerns about similarities to other titles, but it also raises questions about the feasibility of such a visually rich and complex game on mobile platforms. However, a mobile beta is reportedly in development.

While details on the mobile release remain scarce, why not explore some of the week's top new mobile games in the meantime? Check out our latest list!
