by Thomas Dec 17,2024

Tribe Nine, a new mobile ARPG from Danganronpa creators Rui Komatsuzaki and Kazutaka Kodaka, is now accepting pre-registrations for Android and iOS! Pre-register to unlock an exclusive skin and other rewards.

Komatsuzaki's distinctive art and Kodaka's design prowess, hallmarks of the PSP hit Danganronpa, are reunited in this exciting new title. Set in a dystopian Neo-Tokyo of 20XX, players join a group of teenagers competing in the perilous Extreme Games, orchestrated by the enigmatic Zero.

Pre-registration rewards include a Parallel Cypher / Y skin for Koishi Kohinata. The game blends thrilling action with a retro aesthetic, featuring retro-style sprite overworld exploration and dynamic 3D battles. Players can experiment with equipment and utilize Tension Cards to create unique character builds.

Will Tribe Nine be a Hit?

While Danganronpa's popularity might have waned, its innovative blend of art and murder-mystery gameplay was groundbreaking for its time. Tribe Nine boasts a unique visual style, but the saturated mobile 3D turn-based battle market presents a significant challenge. The game will need a compelling hook to stand out from the crowd.
