Embark on a captivating journey in the vibrant world of Monster Hunter Wilds, where intriguing interactions await, rewarding players in diverse ways. This guide focuses on acquiring the coveted Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement. While not crucial to the main storyline, fishing offers a delightful side quest and unlocks the necessary equipment for this challenge.

Your adventure begins with Kanya's fishing questline. Complete these side quests by gathering the required items:

• Seeking the Goldenfish: Locate the Goldenfish in cave pools. Area 6 of the Scarlet Forest is a good starting point. Use Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow baits. Fallow weather conditions increase spawning chances.
• Fishing for Favor: Catch the Gravid Bowfin in the Scarlet Forest base camp during "Plenty" weather. Use the Emerald Jitterbait.
• The Catch of a Lifetime!: Catch any large fish requiring the reeling minigame. The Tuna in Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest is a reliable option.

After completing these quests, Kanya will assign the Razzle Dazzle quest, unlocking the path to the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy/achievement:

1. Travel to Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest. Ensure "Downpour" weather during "Inclemency" (use the grill or camp to adjust weather).
2. Enter the lake's deep end until progression is blocked. Squids should appear; if not, fast travel and return.
3. Equip the Tentacle Jig (provided by Kanya) and begin fishing. Target squids with glowing blue shells.
4. If the reeling minigame begins, you've hooked a Goliath Squid. Reel it in to claim your trophy/achievement!
