Unlocking the Fire Seal in Fields of Mistria: A Guide

by Aaliyah Apr 24,2025

After the March 10 update in *Fields of Mistria*, you can now access the Fire Seal by clearing the previous altars. To unlock it, you must gather four specific items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's a detailed guide on acquiring each item and successfully unlocking the Fire Seal.

Where to Find Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem, a rare artifact, can be discovered in the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. Ensure you're running the latest version of the game, and head to Floors 50-59. We located the gem on Floor 56, but you may need to dig around a bit. Use your pickaxe or shovel on marked areas on the ground to unearth this gem, keeping in mind its rarity might require some patience and persistence.

Rockroot, a common mine forageable, is found between Floors 50-59. If you're a regular in the mines, you might already have it in your inventory. Look for a dark, root-like plant as shown in the image. Only one is needed for the Priestess’ altar.

Where to Find Emerald in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are among the easiest items to acquire for the Fire Seal offerings. They are commonly found in geode form on Floors 50-59 in the mines. If you haven't stored any, a quick search should suffice. Additionally, you can obtain Emeralds by breaking large boulders around Mistria or purchasing them at Balor’s Wagon for just 200 tesserae. With the March 2025 update introducing the Stone Refinery, you can also craft them if you prefer.

How to Get the Sealing Scroll in Fields of Mistria

The Sealing Scroll is the last item needed to break the Fire Seal. To obtain it, you'll need to engage in a quest that starts after meeting Juniper post-seal discovery. You'll then involve Balor, who requires payment in the form of:

  • x10 Silver Ingots
  • x10 Rubies
  • x10 Sapphires
  • x10 Emeralds

If you're short on any of these, the mines are a good place to find them. Once you've gathered everything, deposit them in the bin by Balor’s Wagon to secure your Sealing Scroll.

Unlocking the Fire Seal

With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your inventory, return to Floor 60 of the mines to present your offerings. This action will unlock the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and more content in the Early Access phase of *Fields of Mistria*.

NOTE: *Fields of Mistria* is currently in Early Access, and the information provided is accurate as of Version 0.13.0. Content may change, and this guide will be updated accordingly.

*Fields of Mistria* is available to play now in Steam Early Access.
