The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close, and the final week, aptly named Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to kick off on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This thrilling culmination brings your journey with Kubfu to a rewarding end.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of dedication, it's time to see your efforts pay off as you evolve Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu. The choice is yours between two formidable forms: Single Strike or Rapid Strike, depending on your battle strategy.
To unlock the Single Strike style, set Kubfu as your buddy and conquer 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-types instead during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
Additionally, a Special Research quest will continue the seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This quest offers Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon, such as Charcadet featuring a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, witness the debut of Gigantamax Machamp in six-star Max Battles. This event comes packed with exciting bonuses.
During this time, you'll need only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage limit for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. You'll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms either. These handy items temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the effect's duration, although the damage boost remains constant.
