Valheim Developers Reveal First Creature of Upcoming Biome

Iron Gate Studio has released a new developer diary, giving players a sneak peek at Valheim's next biome: The Deep North. The star of the show? Adorable—almost too adorable—seals!

In the icy landscapes of this upcoming update, players will find seals with varying appearances and resource yields. Horned or spotted seals, for example, offer richer rewards than their common counterparts, adding a strategic layer to hunting.

Interestingly, Iron Gate is unveiling The Deep North through a unique series of narrative videos. Instead of a traditional trailer, we're following the adventures of Hervor Blood Tooth as she explores the Far North. Each episode subtly hints at the new biome's features, showcasing snow-dusted shores and breathtaking auroras.

While an official release date for The Deep North remains unannounced, this update is anticipated to be the final biome added to Valheim, potentially marking the game's departure from early access.
