Santa Ragione, the studio behind Wheels of Aurelia, issued a statement this week expressing their disappointment with Apple's vague reasoning for the removal. They confirm the game remains fully operational and meets all current technical standards. The core issue is its lack of recent updates.

The team contends that this policy fails to respect the artistic integrity of complete, self-contained games—particularly narrative experiences that don't require ongoing patches or new content. It's akin to removing a book for not publishing a revised edition. Forcing unnecessary updates places a significant burden on small studios, straining finances and pulling focus away from new creative projects.
