How to Find and Summon the Wither

This boss doesn't spawn naturally. To summon the Wither, you need 3 Wither Skeleton skulls and 4 blocks of Soul Sand or Soul Soil. Gathering these materials, however, is no simple task.
Where to Find Wither Skeleton Skulls
Wither Skeletons are the only source of the required skulls, and they appear exclusively in Nether Fortresses. These tall, dark foes are dangerous in their own right. With a base drop rate of just 2.5% for a skull, obtaining three can be a lengthy grind. Using a sword enchanted with Looting III increases the chance to 5.5%, easing the grind—but it still demands patience and persistence.
How to Build the Structure
When ready to summon the Wither, choose your location carefully. The aftermath can leave the area in ruins, so avoid building near anything valuable.
Select a spot deep underground or in a barren desert where destruction won’t matter.Form a T-shape with Soul Sand: lay three blocks in a row, then place one block directly below the center.Arrange the 3 skeleton skulls on top (the upper three blocks of the T). Make sure the third skull is placed last to avoid triggering the boss too soon. After spawning, the Wither takes roughly 10 seconds to charge up before attacking.
Wither Behavior

The Wither is infamous for its destructive power, cunning tactics, and relentless aggression. It fires explosive skull projectiles, inflicts heavy damage, and applies the "Wither" effect, which gradually saps health and impedes natural regeneration. To make matters worse, the Wither regenerates health rapidly, turning it into an especially daunting opponent.
Think of it as a treacherous hunter—the Wither actively seeks to destroy, both structures and morale. It often attacks unexpectedly, catching players when they're least prepared. Without a solid strategy, defeating it may seem nearly impossible.

Once summoned, the Wither begins wreaking havoc. Try one of these proven tactics to bring it down:
⚔️ Confined Space Combat. Summon the Wither in a narrow underground tunnel. This restricts its movement and flight, limits environmental damage, and lets you strike more freely.
⚔️ End Portal Trap. Another clever method is to spawn the Wither below an End Portal frame, where it becomes trapped and unable to attack—making it an easy target.
⚔️ Direct Confrontation. If you're seeking a genuine challenge, come equipped with Netherite armor, an enchanted bow, health potions, and a strong sword. Begin with ranged attacks, then when its health drops below 50%, the Wither descends to the ground, allowing you to finish it off in melee.
