Fortnite Accidentally Re-Releases Paradigm SkinPlayers Can Keep the Loot

Fortnite players were sent into a frenzy on August 6 when the highly coveted Paradigm skin unexpectedly resurfaced in the game's item shop. The skin, originally released as a limited-time exclusive in Chapter 1 Season X, had not been available for purchase in five years.

Fortnite quickly clarified that the skin's appearance was "due to a bug" and announced plans to remove it from players' Lockers and issue refunds. However, after facing backlash from the community, the developer made a surprising U-turn.

In a tweet posted two hours after the initial announcement, Fortnite said that players who purchased the Paradigm skin can keep it. "Bought Paradigm tonight? You can keep her," the developers said. "Her accidental return to the Shop is on us... so if you purchased The Paradigm during this evening's rotation, you can keep this Outfit and we'll refund your V-Bucks soon-ish."

To maintain exclusivity for those who originally purchased the skin, Fortnite pledged to create a unique, new variant exclusively for them.
