Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

by Samuel Jan 25,2025

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced game mechanics, new environments, and game modes, all driving increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.

Remarkably, the 1.4 update maintained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update decline. Daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days and stayed above $500,000 even after two weeks.

While a significant achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
