Wizards of the Coast electrified MagicCon Las Vegas 2025 with the debut of its Magic: The Gathering (MTG) and Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover, unveiling preliminary artwork and mechanics for the Avatar Aang and Aang, Master of Elements cards.
The MTG team revealed Aang's arrival through a mesmerizing time-lapse showcasing the creation process behind the stunning hand-painted illustrations. The first card, Avatar Aang (Legendary Creature - Human Avatar Ally), features this game-changing ability: "Whenever you waterbend, earthbend, firebend, or airbend, draw a card. If you've performed all four bending types this turn, transform Avatar Aang."

Its counterpart, Aang, Master of Elements (Legendary Creature - Avatar Ally), presents an entirely different cosmic manifestation of the character's power: "At the beginning of each upkeep, you may transform Aang, Master of Elements. When transformed, gain 4 life, draw four cards, place four +1/+1 counters on him, and deal 4 damage to each opponent."
Wizards will fully showcase this groundbreaking collaboration on August 12, 2025, with the complete set arriving November 21, 2025.
These MTG crossovers consistently create waves in the collectible card game community. Following the overwhelmingly positive reception to the Final Fantasy collaboration (featuring fan-favorites like Cloud, Sephiroth, and Moogles), many cards have experienced dramatic market value spikes among collectors.
