In the world of *Dungeon Fighter Online*, the dragonkin have long been a formidable adversary, and in *The First Berserker: Khazan*, players must once again face this threat with utmost caution. Phase 1

Begin by preparing your skills for your chosen weapon and summon the Spirit of Advocacy just outside the gates to the boss for additional support. When facing the Viper, be vigilant of its attack patterns:

  • A three-hit combo starting with two stabs and a spear swing.
  • A two-hit spear-swinging combo from left to right.
  • A large sweep followed by a leap away, then throwing its spear up to two times; be cautious of the returning weapon.
  • A four-hit combo with a spinning spear, followed by swipes in both directions.

Time your blocks and aim for Perfect Guards to quickly deplete its stamina. Keep the pressure on with continuous attacks and Brutal Attacks whenever possible. The Spirit of Advocacy can serve as a useful decoy. At around half health, the Viper will roar and summon an energy tornado; retreat to avoid being pulled in.

After the energy blast, anticipate the Viper's leaping slam. It will now use a grab attack, signaled by the flashing tip of the spear; dodge to the right to avoid it. Be prepared for a new ranged attack where it sends the spear spinning vertically, followed by a pair of jumping attacks.

The Viper's attacks now have increased damage and additional hits, so maintain a defensive stance. Executing a Perfect Guard on the final hit of its five-hit combo will stagger the boss, providing an opportunity for significant damage. Once its health is depleted, the real challenge begins.

Phase 2

In this phase, the Viper taps into Hismar's power, becoming even more formidable with a restored health bar. It uses its fortified left arm for downward smashes and swipes, and a giant sword for slashes. When it roars, brace for two wide-ranging arm attacks followed by a Burst Attack; use Counterattack to stun it and create an opening.

At the halfway health mark, the Viper summons a storm that darkens the arena. Watch for lightning flashes, as it will leap towards you to attack multiple times, ending with a charge and an uppercut. Parry or dodge these moves, and use its aggressive behavior to your advantage. It will also incorporate a leaping slam into its attacks, so be ready to adjust your position.

Keep an eye on your stamina to avoid exhaustion and vulnerability during the Viper's sustained combos. Defeating the boss rewards you with over 10,000 Lacrima, Hismar's Scale, several Fallen Lord items, and the Hunter's Ring.

With this guide, you should be well-equipped to conquer the Viper in *The First Berserker: Khazan*. For additional assistance with the game, search for resources at The Escapist.
