Developer Funcom announced this delay while also offering an early access opportunity for eager players. Those who opt for the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game will be able to dive in starting June 5, 2025.

The decision to postpone the release came after the feedback gathered from the ongoing Persistent Closed Beta. Funcom explained that they need "a bit more time to cook" to implement requested changes and improvements. This delay also paves the way for a large-scale beta weekend next month, allowing even more players to experience Dune: Awakening and provide their valuable feedback.
While the delay may disappoint some fans, Funcom is keeping the excitement alive with a combat livestream scheduled for later today at 12pm ET/9am PT. This stream will delve deeper into the game's PvP and PvE mechanics, archetypes, and skills, giving players a clearer picture of what to expect.
