Freedom Wars Remastered features Abductors with visible health bars on their torsos. Players utilize various weapons and items to deplete this health. The game employs diverse damage types, each with unique effects. While Light Melee weapons target specific body parts, Impact Damage plays a similar strategic role.

Mastering Impact Damage significantly improves Abductor takedowns. This guide explains Impact Damage mechanics and its application for faster Abductor defeats.

Understanding Impact Damage in Freedom Wars Remastered

Impact Damage is primarily found on Heavy Melee and some Ranged weapons. While a numerical value often accompanies the Impact Damage percentage, it doesn't directly increase total damage. Instead, it's non-elemental damage boosting the force of normal attacks, thus accelerating the Abductor's stagger rate. A full stagger meter causes the Abductor to stagger, providing a window for substantial damage before recovery.

Unlike the visible health bar, the stagger meter is hidden. Staggering can occur at any point once the rate threshold is met. This presents both advantages and disadvantages. Offline play allows for charged attacks, maximizing damage. However, in online play, staggering might hinder teammates' attacks. Some Abductors, such as Ramosa, react by moving backward, potentially complicating follow-up attacks.

Boosting Stagger Damage in Freedom Wars Remastered

Increasing Stagger Damage requires unlocking the Weapon Development Facility. This facility enables weapon crafting and customization. Utilize the Manufacture Modules feature to create modules using various resources. The Stagger Damage Up Module necessitates Glassy Carbon, a common field resource in Basic Operations. Synthesise Modules allows combining identical modules for enhanced effectiveness. Attach the crafted module to weapons to boost Impact Damage and stagger capabilities.

Since Impact Damage is non-elemental, prioritize physical damage upgrades over elemental enhancements for optimal staggering. Modules like Stagger Damage Up are particularly beneficial for users of heavy melee weapons or ranged weapons with inherent stagger potential.
