Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Classic SNES Games Arrive

Beat 'em Ups, Racing, Puzzles, and Dodgeball!

Prepare for a nostalgic gaming trip back to the early 90s! Nintendo has unveiled four Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) titles joining the ever-growing Nintendo Switch Online library. This diverse selection offers a blend of action-packed beat 'em ups, high-stakes racing, challenging puzzles, and a unique dodgeball experience.

First up is the epic crossover, Battletoads/Double Dragon. This iconic beat 'em up unites the brawling Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers in a quest to defeat the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters: Billy and Jimmy Lee (Double Dragon) and Zitz, Pimple, and Rash (Battletoads).

Originally released on NES in June 1993 and later ported to SNES in December 1993, this marks a long-awaited return for Battletoads/Double Dragon.

Next, get ready for some dodgeball mayhem with Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). This fast-paced title features Kunio-kun from the River City series, challenging you to dominate the dodgeball court against global rivals. Compete in various arenas, from indoor stadiums to outdoor beaches, each with unique challenges.

Puzzle enthusiasts will appreciate Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. This strategic puzzle game, reminiscent of Tetris and Puyo Puyo, tasks you with clearing lines of containers and Cosmos to score points. Three modes are available: 1P Mode (solo high score challenge), VS Mode (head-to-head competition), and 100 Stage Mode (increasingly difficult puzzles). Clear lines horizontally and utilize blue orbs to remove Cosmos.

Initially released in arcades in 1992, then ported to Super Famicom in 1993, Cosmo Gang the Puzzle has seen re-releases on various platforms, including the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.

Finally, experience the thrill of Big Run, a racing game that takes you across diverse African terrains, from Tripoli to West Africa's swamps. Race against the clock and opponents across nine challenging stages, requiring strategic decision-making and resource management.
