Hollow Knight Silksong's release remains elusive, much to the amusement (and frustration) of fans. The developers, Team Cherry, seem to enjoy playing with expectations. After missing the 2024 release window, a recent cryptic image—a single cake—sent the fanbase into a frenzy, sparking speculation of an Alternate Reality Game (ARG).

However, Team Cherry quickly dispelled the ARG theory, clarifying the cake image was simply a playful tease.

Despite the official explanation, some fans remain unconvinced, clinging to the belief that a full game reveal is imminent, possibly in April. The development continues, and a concrete release date remains unannounced.
