by Harper May 22,2025

The Lion King ride, set to debut at Disneyland Paris, has just gotten more exciting with new images, detailed plans, and a construction start date slated for Fall 2025. As revealed by Disney Parks Blog, this attraction will be part of the first-ever land dedicated to The Lion King, transforming Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. This new water ride will immerse guests in the iconic scenes from the 1994 animated classic, complete with a thrilling 52-foot drop, just two inches taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The land itself will feature a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and a variety of dining, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more.

While the exact opening date for The Lion King ride remains under wraps, it will follow the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026. This ride is a key component of Disney Adventure World, which will significantly expand the current park's footprint.

In addition to The Lion King and World of Frozen attractions, Disney Adventure World will introduce the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever attraction inspired by Up. This new ride will be a "spinning carousel" offering breathtaking views of the park's scenery.
