Marvel Rivals Adds Two Heroes Quarterly

NetEase Games keeps Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates, aiming for a new update every six weeks and two new heroes each quarter. This ensures consistent new content to draw players back.

Game director Guangyun Chen explained that each season's update is divided: one hero launches in the first half, another in the second. This approach maintains player and audience engagement. Beyond heroes, updates will include new maps, storylines, and objectives.

Previously announced characters include Blade (currently unavailable) and leaked character Ultron. The Fantastic Four's full team appearance has also been revealed.

GameLook, a Chinese publication, reported Marvel Rivals generated approximately $100 million globally, with a significant portion from the Chinese market. This marks a substantial move for Marvel, a film industry giant, into the gaming arena.

Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers. NetEase delivered a high-quality heroic shooter boasting compelling characters, earning positive reviews upon release.
