Monster Hunter Rise: Winning the High-Rank Trophy

by Logan Mar 13,2025

Unlocking achievements in *Monster Hunter Rise* isn't always about slaying the biggest beasts. For the "A Prize Held High" trophy/achievement, your target is surprisingly small: the Curioshell Crab. This little crustacean is captured using your trusty Capture Net.

While Curioshell Crabs can pop up almost anywhere, the Scarlet Forest offers a reliable hunting ground. Head to Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp (located between Areas 2 and 6). Check the nearby water; it's a prime spawning spot. If you're having trouble spotting it, Alma might offer a clue, mentioning a creature holding something – that's your sign!

Equip your Capture Net, aim for the orange reticle, and capture the crab. A successful capture nets you both the Curioshell Crab and an Ancient Wyvern Coin. Remember, these crabs are quick, so aim ahead of their movement.

While the Scarlet Forest (Area 6 and Area 8) provides good odds, Area 13 of the Windward Plains is another potential location. However, keep in mind that they can appear in other areas too.

That's all you need to know about obtaining the "A Prize Held High" trophy/achievement in *Monster Hunter Rise*. For more gaming guides and news, check out The Escapist.

Monster Hunter Rise is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
