Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage to Cease Service

Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024, ending a nearly seven-year run. This isn't entirely unexpected, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.

The game's closure date is December 9th, 2024. Until then, players can still enjoy several upcoming events, including the Village Leader World Championship (October 8th-18th), an All-Out Mission (October 18th-November 1st), and a final "Thanks For Everything" campaign (November 1st-December 1st). Players can continue collecting cards, summoning, and using in-game items until the servers close. Any remaining Gold Coins should be spent before the shutdown.

While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's decline stemmed from a noticeable power creep following Minato's introduction. This, coupled with increasingly overt pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features, ultimately led to player attrition and the game's eventual closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to play before the shutdown.
