Netflix is launching a video game companion for its upcoming sci-fi film The Electric State – a retro-futuristic puzzle adventure titled The Electric State: Kid Cosmo. The game releases March 18th, just four days after the movie premieres on March 14th.
Directed by the Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, the film depicts a post-apocalyptic road trip across an alternate 1990s America featuring giant robots and futuristic landscapes.
More Than Just a Movie Tie-In
Kid Cosmo actually serves as a prequel to the film, exploring the childhoods of main characters Chris and Michelle through a unique game-within-a-game narrative. Developed by BUCK Games and AGBO, the title builds on BUCK's experience creating the acclaimed puzzle game Let's! Revolution!.
The gameplay blends fast-paced puzzles with an 80s-inspired aesthetic, offering a WarioWare-style experience set in 1985 Wichita. Players will collect modules, repair spacecraft, and unravel mysteries across a five-year timeline preceding the film's events.
