Attention all Death Stranding fans! Get ready for an exciting update: the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated to hit the shelves on June 26, 2025. In a recent chat with IGN, the franchise's star, Norman Reedus, shared some intriguing insights about the game and dropped a hint about the upcoming film adaptation.
When quizzed about the possibility of portraying himself in the film version of the game—a project announced last month by Michael Sarnoski and A24—Reedus responded enthusiastically, "If it was an option, yeah, for sure. I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course."
During the interview, Reedus also touched on his experience with the first game and his perspective going into the sequel. He expressed a deep trust in creator Hideo Kojima, noting, "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at. He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas." Reedus admitted to having a better grasp of the storyline this time around, highlighting that Death Stranding 2 will feature more action and a clearer objective.
Despite the complexity and unpredictability of the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains thrilled to be part of the journey. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he shared with IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."
Mark your calendars for June 26, 2025, as Death Stranding 2: On The Beach promises to deliver an unforgettable gaming experience.
