Pokémon Go's 2025 Harvest Festival Adds Dipplin, Hydrapple

While you’re busy with the Completely Normal event, Niantic has announced the return of the Pokémon Go Harvest Festival. This autumn celebration runs from October 10th to 16th, offering a week full of seasonal fun, two brand-new Pokémon, and a host of in-game bonuses for catching and evolving.

The Harvest Festival welcomes Dipplin and Hydrapple, expanding the Applin evolution family. To evolve Applin into Dipplin, you’ll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples. Later, turn Dipplin into Hydrapple by collecting 400 Applin Candy and catching seven Dragon-type Pokémon while having Dipplin as your buddy.

Syrupy Apples make their first appearance during the event and will show up more often at PokéStops with active Mossy Lure Modules. Tapping these apples can reward you with Sweet, Tart, or Syrupy Apples, and sometimes even trigger an encounter with Pokémon like Applin.

Event bonuses feature double Candy for catches made with Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries, plus better odds of encountering Shiny Pumpkaboo and Shiny Smoliv. With Mossy Lures active, Apples will appear more frequently, helping you gather resources to evolve your Applin.

Trainers seeking extra rewards can purchase the paid Timed Research for $4.99. This bundle extends Mossy Lure durations, boosts your chances of getting Silver Pinap and Golden Razz Berries, and includes encounters with Applin, along with three Mossy Lure Modules and 30 Silver Pinap Berries.

Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges will also be available, offering encounters with Pumpkaboo, Applin, and Smoliv. Finish catch- and evolution-themed Collection Challenges to earn Mossy Lures, Stardust, Syrupy Apples, and more Applin encounters.
