Pokémon Go Tests Go Pass in Select Regions

by Lillian Apr 17,2025

Get ready, Pokémon Go enthusiasts! A brand-new feature, the Go Pass, is currently being tested in select regions and offers an exciting way to earn rewards. Following the success of the Tour Pass during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, the Go Pass is set to launch globally soon. If you're in one of the eligible areas, you can participate in Go Pass: April and snag a variety of goodies.

Battle passes are all the rage these days, and now Pokémon Go is jumping on the bandwagon. From April 1st to May 6th, you can collect Go Points to level up your Go Pass and unlock rewards, including encounters with Xerneas, Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass comes in two tiers: Free and Deluxe. The Free tier allows everyone to participate, but if you're looking for even more substantial bonuses, the Go Pass Deluxe offers premium rewards such as a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and useful items like Incubators and Lure Modules. You can upgrade to Deluxe at any time and retroactively claim rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

As you progress, you'll hit Major Milestones that unlock additional perks. Tier one extends the duration of Daily Adventure Incense, Tier two boosts XP and Stardust from Research Breakthroughs, and Tier three increases Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. Plus, the final Deluxe reward includes another Lucky Trinket, ensuring you can guarantee a Lucky Friend.

Since the Go Pass is still in testing, its rewards and structure may differ between regions. Some areas might receive different encounters, adjusted item rewards, or even PokéCoins at certain ranks. These variations will help Niantic refine the system before its broader release.

If you're in an eligible region, this is your chance to try out the Go Pass before its global rollout. Make sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and don't forget to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
