Finding Rosa's Book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Crucial Side Quest
Missing side quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can lead to failure, and Rosa's Book is one such easily overlooked task. This guide details its location and importance.
Prerequisites:
Before this quest becomes available, you must complete "Via Argentum" and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family against Vavak (through combat or diplomacy), speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage to Maleshov, crucial for rescuing Hans, and request you retrieve a book for her. Inquiring about the book and promising to find it initiates "Rosa's Book."
Important Note: This quest is only accessible during "Taking French Leave." Leaving Maleshov without the book results in quest failure, potentially hindering a romance with Rosa.
Locating the Book:
Upon entering Maleshov, Hans is in the tallest tower. Use the external stairs to enter. Inside, locate another staircase and a nearby kitchen. Wait for the guards to leave the tower before proceeding.
Stealthily ascend the stairs to a room occupied by Lady Ofka. Knock her out, acquire the keys from her and the podium, and a sword from the chest. Rosa's book is a red volume in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Grab it; your objective will update.
Additional Tip: Take the sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This provides the two weapons needed for Hans and his unexpected guest, saving time later.
Completing the Quest:
Unlock the door on the left on the top floor to trigger a cutscene. Continue "Taking French Leave," guiding Hans to the stables. After the final cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and deliver the book to Rosa at Ruthard Palace.
