Serial Cleaner: Cleanup Crime Scenes Under the Power of a Moustache

by Madison Dec 11,2024

Serial Cleaner, the fiendish puzzle game where you're a crime scene cleanup expert, is making a comeback. Originally released in 2019, this re-release promises a return to the gritty, stylish 70s setting. But will it be a revamped and improved experience, or simply a port? Only time will tell.

The game casts you as Bob Leaner, tasked with the messy job of disposing of bodies and evidence after mob hits, all while dodging the police. Our previous review (2019) noted its potential, despite some shortcomings. Now, developer Plug-In Digital is handling publishing, bringing this puzzle-action title back to mobile platforms.

yt A Retro Revival?

Available for pre-registration with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the extent of the improvements remains unclear. While a polished re-release would be welcome, given the time elapsed, significant enhancements might be optimistic.

The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile port dampens initial excitement. However, Android and iOS users who missed out initially, or experienced compatibility issues, may find this a welcome opportunity. For everyone else, exploring our weekly top five new mobile games list might be a better bet.
