Skate., EA'S F2P Skate Sim, Announces Playtesting

EA's highly anticipated free-to-play skateboarding game, skate. (stylized as skate.), is now accepting console playtesters! Learn how to secure your spot and snag exclusive rewards.

Initially announced in June 2020, skate. is finally opening its doors for PlayStation and Xbox playtesting. While a PC beta date remains unconfirmed, PC players can register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September. However, developer Full Circle actively encourages new registrations as development continues.

To participate, visit EA's website and register on the skate. page for Insider Playtesting. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it promises a free-to-play, live-service experience offering an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
