Tfue Demands Twitch Release Dr Disrespect Chats

Popular streamer Turner "Tfue" Tenney has called on Twitch to release Dr Disrespect's chat messages with a minor. On June 25, streamer Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, widely known as Dr Disrespect, confirmed that in 2017 he had been texting with a minor via Twitch Whispers and that these exchanges were what led to his ban from the platform in 2020.

The controversy around Dr Disrespect started when, on June 21, former Twitch official Cody Conners claimed that the streamer was banned from Twitch for "sexting a minor." After Dr Disrespect admitted to having "inappropiate" conversations with a minor, other fellow major streamers, like Nickmercs and TimTheTatman, expressed their disappointment and said they could not support Dr Disrespect's actions.

Now, Tfue is calling for Twitch to release the messages Dr Disrespect exchanged with the underage follower. "Release the whispers," reads Tfue's Twitter post, which has already earned over 36 thousand likes. In the thread, several users support Tfue's call for the chat release, saying that Dr Disrespect's actions should be fully exposed.

Tfue Calls for Twitch to Release Dr Disrespect Twitch Whispers

Tfue is a widely-known streamer with millions of followers across Kick, YouTube and other social media platforms. Tfue retired from Twitch in June 2023 before returning to content creation with Kick in November. Like Dr Disrespect, Tfue is no stranger to controversy. The streamer has been criticized for using a racial slur on stream in 2019, and another time for shooting a wild hog live. This time, he isn't the center of the storm, but like many users who have followed Dr Disrespect's downfall, Tfue wants the matter to develop further.

Because of his latest statement, Dr Disrespect has lost the support of both his fans and streamer friends on social media. Another consequence is being cut off by sponsors, with Midnight Society and Turtle Beach ending their partnership with Dr Disrespect. Now that the streamer's indecorous actions have been confirmed, more brands or celebrities cutting ties with him in the upcoming days won't come as a surprise to users.

Despite his current downfall, Dr Disrespect doesn't plan on quitting content creation permanently. A few days ago, Dr Disrespect announced a "vacation" from streaming but has since confirmed that he would eventually return. According to his affirmations, this break will be long but temporary, and he'll make a comeback with a weight off his shoulders. Even so, when Dr Disrespect does return to streaming, chances are he won't be offered many partnership opportunities, nor will all his followers continue to support him.
