Ubisoft Hypes Assassin

It's been a while since we last discussed Ubisoft, hasn't it? Next Thursday, the company is set to launch Assassin's Creed Shadows, and the success of this title could be pivotal for the future of the entire corporation.

Today, Ubisoft’s official channel unveiled a new video dedicated to the game. You might mistake it for the launch trailer, but it's actually labeled as a TV commercial, sparking some curiosity.

The video itself is not the issue; it's smooth, cinematic, and visually striking. The concern arises from Ubisoft's apparent strategy of promoting the game more through traditional media. While there's nothing inherently wrong with this approach, uploading a TV ad to Ubisoft’s YouTube channel raises questions. This might seem like nitpicking, but such a move doesn't necessarily boost confidence in the upcoming release.

Speculation aside, the video effectively highlights the distinct gameplay and combat styles of the two main protagonists. The depiction of Japan is breathtaking, yet one can't fully assess the game from a one-minute cinematic. We'll need to wait for the release to get the full picture.
