Unown Tablets: Pokemon Enthusiast's Creative Masterpiece

A Pokemon fan has created a set of impressive tablets based off of Unown. The series of tablets spell out messages in the unique Pokemon alphabet and feature a cameo from a particular Mythical Pokemon.

Unown is a particularly unusual Pokemon, even amid the thousand of other creatures in the series. Unown has been around since Gen 2 of the Pokemon series, and is peculiar for its appearance, which has 28 forms based around the Latin alphabet. Unown was featured heavily in the third Pokemon movie, where it shared the stage with Entei.

Pokemon fan Higher-Elo-Creative shared their creations with the Pokemon subreddit, and the fans there are extremely enthusiastic about them. Higher-Elo-Creative has created a number of decorative props that are designed to look like clay tablets engraved with Unown, used in ancient times. Fans agreed that the tablets are extremely impressive both in design and execution. Higher-Elo-Creative asked fans what they would want to see engraved on a tablet like this, with numerous responses. The tablets they share also bear messages of their own, like "Power," "Unown," "Game Over," "Home," and "Your Journey Begins."

The final tablet the artist shared is of Mew, peeking out from behind some artificial foliage. While not identical, it bears a resemblance to the Ancient Mew card that was given away during premiere screenings of Pokemon The Movie 2000: The Power of One. Given Mew's status as an ancient, Mythical Pokemon, it seems like a good choice to appear on a tablet like this one. Several fans asked questions about the tablets, including how they were made. Higher-Elo-Creative explained that the tablets are made out of foam, and for those who may be interested, the artist does sell these tablets in their shop.

Unown is Missing, but Not Forgotten
Unown isn't seen as viable by most players in a competitive sense, but it still poses an interesting challenge to players. Catching every form of Unown is a must for some fans of the Pokemon, or for completionists who want to clear every single challenge in the game. However, Unown was missing in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which may have disappointed some players. Despite Game Freak's decision, it's clear that there are still plenty of fans of the odd Pokemon, with fans suggesting new Unown forms based on other alphabet symbols and icons.

It remains to be seen if Unown will return to the Pokemon series in the near future with Pokemon Legends: Z-A, or if it will remain absent for a while longer.
