We’ve got some scoop on the upcoming Warframe: 1999 and some more details right from the event.What’s The Scoop On Warframe: 1999?First off, this epic narrative is set to release in Winter 2024 on all current platforms. It’s set in a grungy, alternate Earth in 1999, dripping with secrets and teeming with mystery. You’ll be teaming up with six iconic Protoframes to hunt down Dr. Entrati before the clock hits midnight on New Year’s Eve.Now the best news from the TennoCon 2024 is that you don’t have to wait until winter to get a taste of the action. This August, the 1999 Prologue Quest, ‘The Lotus Eaters,’ drops on all platforms. What Else Is In Store?During the annual Digital Extremes celebration at TennoCon 2023, we got a peek at some more notable reveals. Say hello to Cyte-09, the new Warframe. This ex-fortune hunter, now the sharpest marksman on Arthur’s team, rocks a stylish beret. Bring his skills from 1998 into the present Origin System and show everyone what a passé sharpshooter can do.
And then, get ready for Infested 80's Boy Band Hunts. Infested Liches are styled after the 80's boy band On-lyne, with Nick Apostolides from Resident Evil 4 making a special appearance. The event also unveiled new mounts like the Atomicyle. It’s a badass ride that can drift, bullet-jump and even blow stuff up.
Oh, and did I mention TennoCon 2023 also revealed that the Warframe: 1998 Anime Short is coming in 2023? Yep, animation studio THE LINE is teaming up with Digital Extremes to bring the Warframe: 1998 universe to anime. Head over to the official website for more info on this!
