Ace Trainer is a new Farlight Games release, in soft launch for select regions

by Sebastian Feb 21,2025

Farlight Games, fresh off their successful 2024 collaboration with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, is launching a new title: Ace Trainer. Currently in soft launch in South Korea and the US, this game blends tower defense, pinball mechanics, and creature collection in a unique way.

Think Pokémon, but with a zombie twist. Players collect, train, and level up fantastical creatures to battle hordes of undead. Resource gathering incorporates pinball-style shooting mechanics. This unusual combination of genres makes Ace Trainer a fascinating, if somewhat unpredictable, prospect. While a global release isn't guaranteed, the multi-region soft launch suggests Farlight has high hopes for the game.

A Risky Mix?

Ace Trainer is ambitious, incorporating PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball elements. The sheer number of mechanics raises questions about long-term playability. While individually popular, their simultaneous inclusion could prove overwhelming or lead to a diluted experience. Whether this eclectic mix will resonate with players remains to be seen.
