At Evo 2024, Capcom demoed three of the seven games included in Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, a comprehensive bundle featuring six foundational games from the beloved Versus series. This collection includes Marvel vs Capcom 2, widely regarded as one of the greatest fighting games of all time. During the event, IGN had the opportunity to interview Capcom producer Shuhei Matsumoto, who shared insights into the company's commitment to the Versus series and the extensive journey to bring this collection to life.

Matsumoto revealed that the collection has been in development for about three to four years, highlighting the dedication and effort required to make this project a reality.
