NetEase is testing a groundbreaking feature to significantly boost Marvel Rivals' performance while lowering memory demands. The developers revealed the Switch Shader Compilation Mode on April 30 via Twitter/X, specifically targeting smoother gameplay for users running lower RAM configurations.

The official blog elaborates on addressing player concerns about performance hiccups and crashes caused by excessive memory usage during matches.

"Our Season 2 solution introduces experimental Switch Shader Compilation Mode," explains the development team. "PC players can activate this through the launcher." The feature proves particularly beneficial for systems with 16GB RAM or less.

Enabled mode delivers these key improvements:

 ● Shader compilation occurs only during initial launch after updates
 ● Dramatically lowered memory usage prevents FPS dips, freezing, and crashes

The developers transparently note temporary graphical anomalies during match starts that quickly resolve, plus minor stuttering that stabilizes shortly thereafter.

Season 2 Twitch Drop Campaign

From April 11 (12:00 UTC) to April 30 (23:59 UTC), Marvel Rivals launches its Season 2 Twitch Drops. Players must link their game and Twitch accounts, then watch eligible streams with Drops enabled to earn rewards progressively.
