Monster Hunter Wilds has shattered records by selling over 8 million units in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game to date. This monumental achievement comes despite the presence of bugs within the game. Dive deeper to discover more about Capcom's remarkable milestone and the latest updates on Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has soared to new heights, becoming Capcom’s fastest-selling game by surpassing 8 million units sold within three days of its launch. Capcom proudly announced this record-breaking feat on their official website, marking MH Wilds as the quickest title to reach this milestone in the company's history.
According to SteamDB, MH Wilds has enjoyed significant success since its launch, boasting over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite garnering mixed reviews. Capcom credits this achievement to the relentless efforts of their team in promoting the game to a wide audience, participating in global video game events, and conducting an open beta test that gave players a firsthand look at what MH Wilds has to offer.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
In response to player feedback, Monster Hunter Wilds has rolled out a crucial update that tackles several bugs that were hindering gameplay. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.
This update resolves a variety of issues, including the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as expected, the inability to access the Monster Field Guide, and a critical game-breaking bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online play.
However, not all bugs have been fixed yet. Some ongoing issues, such as a network error triggered by firing an SOS flare after a quest begins, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks failing to inflict stun and exhaust damages, remain unaddressed. Capcom has assured players that these multiplayer-related bugs will be tackled in an upcoming patch.
