Firaxis Games and 2K have announced that the highly anticipated turn-based strategy game, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, has reached its gold master status. This milestone signifies the completion of primary development, virtually guaranteeing a timely release on February 11th. The game boasts Steam Deck verification and will launch across all major platforms.

Civilization VII offers a wealth of exciting updates for long-time fans, with reviewers largely praising the innovative additions. A notable feature is the new Legend system, rewarding players for campaign completion. This system directly addresses the common issue of unfinished campaigns due to the series' extensive playtime.

While belonging to a specific genre, Sid Meier's Civilization VII is undeniably one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year, albeit with less fanfare than Grand Theft Auto VI. Priced at the standard $70, pre-orders are currently open.
